ASUS 8800GT promised for Thursday...

...and it still hasnt arrived. I was hoping to play Crysis with it on Friday the 16th, but apparently "stock is overdue"... any ideas when I will recieve it?

We have no confirmed dates.

As per the previous posts we are expecting them "when they arrive" and thats it basically. There is a nationwide shortage and high demand which means it could be a while before all the levels of stock settle down to something a bit more calmer.

the problem is, i sold my 8800gts 640mb to get this card, but until my Asus 8800gt arrives, im left using an old crappy computer that can only barely run Crysis. Its really frustrating that they said stock would arrive on weds but it didnt, and now your telling me itll take weeks...

i feel you... however, im running an x800... the problem is, after getting my hands on a awesome pc, now i have to use my old one and im counting the days till i can pwn anything i try to play again

Guess I was one of the lucky ones, i bagged a Gigabyte card a couple of days after release. I've just been playing COD 4 and all I can say is, it'll be worth the wait.

I've got a new build all ordered now just waiting on the 8800gt but as Crazy there's massive shortages of this card, not helped by reports of nearly 10% being doa

Scan are hopefull of getting some in next week but we'll just have to wait and see.
Perhapse you should of bought the 8800gt first then sold the 8800gts, I know I'll be keeping my 7900gs untill I get a new card before selling it.

EDIT: also suposed to be more producers coming online around the end of the month so the stock shortage should dissapear then and the prices will probably come down a bit more.

i was expecting it to be quick and painless, so i sold my gts when it was actually worth something, as the price will fall rapidly as soon as the 8800gt is well supplied... but yea, i guess it was sorta stupid

this is probably beyond scan, as soon as their suppliers let them know, i'm sure they'll fill us in

I ordered an EVGA one 6 days ago, its a frustrating wait, especially without information - but its worth it and i'll hang on there.. anyone have any news about the EVGA 512MB 8800GT's, when they will be in stock soon, etc? I need one! Building a whole new system, and cant stand this Nvidia 5200 card at the moment, I can't do anything!
