Today I went to pick up my new motherboard which I ordered because my old EVGA 680i died on me (god rest its soul). It served me 1 yr and 1month. To some that may not seem like a long time but trust me for me that is long.I went through a motherboard every 3 months. Ask Scan. I build for customers and there PC's run ok for years but miine its another story altogether.
Now I am more precatiuos with the whole motherboard saga. I have better equipment that helps like £130 surge protectors Monster Home Theatre PowerCenter HTS 1000 and a UPS
Anyway , today I walked in to the returns dept just to confirm that my mobo is dead and how I should go about RMA'ing the board. I purchased the board on 11/11/2006 and its a year over. Well Razz the poor chap was ill but he still came to the rescue and checked the board ,also sorted me a new one.
I swear I was not expecting this. I expected to RMA the board to EVGa and wait for a month without a board and that being the reason why I purchesed maximus forumla SE. But luckily I didnt have to and so I gave the mobo back and got a new EVGA 680i swapped.
Thanks RAZZ , your the man
I know you dont like PC's too much Razz but this is different. Tell me what you think of it.
