Order progress - text alerts?

Could Scan do SMS text alerts to let us know the progress of orders? Is this an option that is currently available?

They do SMS alerts, ive had sms alerts on all my orders from scan

Yep, they definately do it, I've had them myself. I think you maybe just need to have your mobile phone number in your account profile on the Scan website.

If you have your mobile entered in the right section of the Personal Details section of your account, you should get a text telling you when it ships along with the CityLink reference number.

Currently you only receive a text message once the order has been shipped along with the citylink reference number...

However, it would maybe be helpful if you could also text the 4 stages of completion...? But to be honest, when you hear your phone beep and see it is from Scan you straight away know... thats my package on the way... new toy to play with tomorrow

Noooo! Please don't do that Scan ... I'm "on call" half of the month and have to sleep next to my switched on phone ready and waiting for alert SMS's. If Scan sent through update SMS's during the night it'd ruin my beauty sleep, and boy do I need a lot of that

Most phones will let you set ring tones depending on caller - set it to a quiet tone for your SMS notifications

You can do that on my phone, but only for incoming calls. Unfortunately it only lets you set the overall level on SMS's ... and as I get called out by SMS's I can't turn it off. Well, I could, but I suspect my callout payments would stop shortly afterwards

Obvious solution is for my wife to sleep in the spare room with the phone and only come and tell me when it's a *real* callout I guess ....
