Delivery booked to wrong address, and carded. Anything I can do now?

I've just realised that an order I placed with Scan at the weekend has been incorrectly booked to be sent to my home address. I'm 100% sure that I selected my alternate (business) address when I placed the order with Scan.

City Link have just tried to deliver to my home address today, and it's been carded.

Is there anything I can do to get the delivery address changed now, or do I have to go home, pick up the card, and try to pick it up the parcel from City Link myself and great inconvenience to myself (as, rather obviously, I'm at work during the day!)

    The invoice number is *edited*
    Thanks

Can you not call citylink and get them to deliver to an alternative address? ie your work?

Re: Delivery booked to wrong address, and carded. Anything I can do now?

Not according to the Scan delivery terms - if I call City Link to redirect the delivery, I'm liable to be charged

Since I'm sure I booked it for delivery to my work address, I don't want to have to pay extra for a redirect

    Quote:
Please be aware of the following delivery information:

    * You can track the status of your delivery by Citylink using their online parcel tracking service - City Link Home Page
    * Delivery will be made solely to the address specified by Scan at the point of despatch and any subsequent redirections are chargeable by Citylink.
    * The delivery will require a signature from someone at the address specified. This is strictly enforced for security reasons.
    * If you are unavailable on the scheduled delivery date, citylink should leave a calling card and take the parcel back to your local depot. The delivery should then be automatically attempted the next day. If delivery is still not successful then your parcel will be held until you make contact with Citylink to rearrange the delivery on a more convenient day.
    * If there is no-one available to take delivery at the address specified, you can collect the parcel from your local depot, with 2 forms of ID.
    * If delivery has not been successful within approx 5 days, the parcel will be automatically returned to Scan for refund minus delivery charges.

I did this once, but it was my mistake, I tried forgot to tick the correct delivery address. Had to drive all the way to my nearest depot to collect it in the end

Check your local depot times for collection - mine is open until 8:00 pm

Re: Delivery booked to wrong address, and carded. Anything I can do now?

    Disaster averted, I think

Spoke to City Link - only the sender can change the delivery address, or it's a trip to the local depot to pick up the parcel.

So I phoned Scan Customer Service. I didn't get the guy's name, but he asked for the alternate address, and said it would be re-booked for delivery tomorrow. Didn't seem to be a problem at all.

Fingers crossed - thanks Scan CS, whoever it was I spoke to!
