Cash back with this in mind, in addition to my services would hurt my bottom line.

Advanced - I was mealy trying to point out in a light-hearted way that I don't work for Scan

It's considered rude on forums to bump threads that are this old when not adding any relevant content. More so when you're trying to promote companies that are competitors to Scan.

You have all of Hexus to post links on for other retailers - While it's not banned in the Scan section, please show a little bit of respect in here to the gents that spend time trying to help everyone

    Cheers

Lolz... I was clearly pointing out Novatech offer a price match, so just was wondering if there was any new opinions or news if you considering it.......?? as the thread was about a year old, instead of creating a whole new thread someone may have updated me with news..

And TBH competition is a good thing, keep the consumer (me) in this case happy, but anyway Scan is basically one of the cheapest e-tailers on market so I buy most my stuff from you anyway, just if I bought a new i7 rig a tidy 3-5% cash back would do wonders..

Anyway I see now it is frowned upon to try and ask a question about cashback and remember with this credit crunch we are in at the moment a bit of politeness goes a long way if wanting people to purchase of you instead of your competitors...

Lets just leave it at that and stop spamming this thread any more... Mods with your higher authority please close this thread..

Advanced, not only have you managed to create TWO threads on the subject of price match, you come and necro another thread, troll it on the SAME subject, then ask it to be closed.

First off, drop the 'lolz' in posts unless you actually have something to laugh at.
    http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-...internet-forum

    Please see point 5.

The thread already contained multiple replies on the subject so there was no excuse to not read them.

Let's just make this clear, you didn't even ask a question in your reply. There was no "just wondering...." aspect of your post, you just posted a 3 word reply that contained nothing but information on a competitor.

If you have a genuine question in future, ask that question.

There are plenty of competitors to Scan out there currently. Cashback would do anyone wonders, but it has already been highlighted in this thread that there is not one, nor likely to be. Posting nothing, not even a question, but pointing out that a competitor does is borderline trolling.

Questions are not frowned upon, but just to make this clear for the 3rd time...you did not ask a question.
Just to make clear again, I do not work for Scan, so it's not a matter of competitors to me.

Probably a good idea to leave the subject there, as I can't see you wanting any actual information to do with this thread.

Please spend a little bit of time thinking about your posts before replying. Quality not quantity is the key here.

Re: Are Scan part of any cashback websites?

No... I wanted to know if they offered cashback, this was my question, which to be fair I did not ask...

Also I have reliased you do not work for Scan as you are admin, so no need to point out the obvious really..

This thread was over a year old so you may have considered cash back within the year as a lot can happen in a year...

Yes after posting realised thread was a year a go so just stating a fact that Novatech offer cash back and as they do you may compete and do the same obviously not...

I really think this thread has escalated to something it does not to be an argument about something which I have got the answer to isn't really a fun way to use the Scan forums, so I have added input into thread with "Novatech does", as I thought the thread was current, I should have elaborated more asking as they do would you match them..

My question was the same as this thread, so why start a new thread??

Please don't tell me what to do it is so patronising.. Just because you are admin it does not give you the right to speak down to people.. This is "boarder line" making the issue personak..

If it's so obvious, why quote me and say "so I buy most my stuff from you anyway".
You're not buying it from me. It's from Scan.

Sure it can, so why not structure the question asking if anything has changed in that period as opposed to promoting competitors in here?

My question was the same as this thread, so why start a new thread??
Because as I have already pointed out, multiple times:
a)This was over a year old
b)You didn't even ask a question, just promoted a competitor

You asked in your last post that we 'just leave it at that', yet you continue posting over the same issues.

It's not a matter of being patronising. If you want to take it personal as opposed to listening to the advice, feel free.

However keep in mind that not only have I pointed out that your post in this section wasn't what we expect, another Admin (Saracen) has pointed out that your attitude (here) was unacceptable, in addition to normal members venting their frustration at your posts.

So not only has another Admin has already pointed out to you that posts of yours have not been acceptable for this forum, I have done the same above, and now you're trying to tell me that I can't point out what is acceptable and what isn't on our forums.

This is the last time an Admin will ask you nicely: Either up the quality of your posts, stop being rude and try to fit in with the friendly natured people on here, or you'll find your stay on here cut short.
