LN18232 "Today Only" yet pre-order!

I need a reliable 500MB external HDD, and checked Today Only to discover the Seagate Freeagent 500MB is featured -> LN18232

Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

Yet when you click through the status is "Pre-order Item" and you are still waiting an ETA from the manufacturer!

Why oh why oh why does Scan feature this item as a Today Only when:

a) You haven't got any stock.
b) You don't even know when you are going to get some stock.

Madness - IMHO, though still love Scan!

If you had any in the first place, it's difficult to tell with your stock system!

As you can guess I'm in the same boat, ordered and now realise that I'm not going to get it for a good while.

If it wasn't for the stupid £1.99 sata cable that I need and the fact that my customer is too much of a skinflint to pay the slightly higher prices elsewhere I'd have cancelled.
