Thread: (Sigh) Order delayed again...

    (Sigh) Order delayed again...

    Ok, so whilst it isnt the end of the world, my order I placed with scan at the weekend has been delayed.... no big deal, things cause delays all the time...

    however thinking back I can think of very few scan orders I have ever placed that have actually shipped the day i placed them (weekdays) or first working day after (weekends) - and Iv been a scan customer a long time.

    I almost 100% exclusively order from scan (with the exception of watercooling, ram and lian li cases) for my components, and those for people i build pc's for. Yet for some reason things never get dispatched on time unless I ring up or pm a staff member to chase it.....

    I should have been able to order on a sunday and have the order come Tuesday....but unsuprisingly its gonna be wednesday again....I even factor the delay into shipping from scan - but the fact is I shouldnt have to.

    I know this post seems a little random, as Im not actually mad that my order isnt coming tomorrow - Im just sad and dissapointed that scan didnt suprise me and manage what ever other etailer manages to do....ship for delivery NEXT working day

    If its a staffing issue, why havent you got more staff? This isnt a recent issue - same applies for stock control or any other software issue.... its been a long term issue, and doesnt seem related to day of the week.... fact of the matter is, you order from scan and add 2 to 3 days (3 if you order on a weekday evening) for it to actually arrive at you door..... il be honest, its just as well you offer free delivery, as nobody would pay for your 'next day' citylink if you cant be relied on as a store to ship for the expected day. How are people meant to order for goods to come on their day off etc??

    Your a great store, but seriously, cant you fix your shipping delays?

    It would seem we have both been bitten with them bug here - i just annoyed more that CS told me that it was there mistake at 2pm and would flag it as urgent only to get a email 20:30 that it would be delayed...

    5pm??!! Holy hell thats customer service in action - pm sent!!

    As I said, im not angry that it didnt ship out for yesterday, I just feel scan are dropping the ball a bit these days on order dispatch duration.

    No problem - I was unable to sleep due to feeling unwell, so may as well help where I can

    Thanks - order has been sorted and is coming tomorrow - apparently a member of staff even called to apologise whilst I was at work - my mrs was very impressed

    Thanks again Scan, I really hope you get your shipping issues sorted, but it wont stop my orders coming in...

    I don't think its scans fault all the time. In my case, I've an order and the emails saying that its been dispatched 14th July but late last night I got an email saying Delayed Order Notification. So according to my account order history it was dispatched yesterday so I checked on city link site and according to them its been loaded on their van this morning @ 6.45am for delivery today.

    So either scan sent out part of my order or city link van has broken down or something similar. Either way nothing came today. So will see what tomorrow brings.

    Ok just rechecked city link (6.00pm)- now I have to ring city link to reschedule cos the driver failed to deliver. Strange since I haven't left home so they can't use that excuse of noone at home. So to get back to my point its not scans fault but its the courier, that cause delays in delivery.
