    Brilliant service

Ordered a Icy Box 390 caddy from overclockers.co.uk last friday and waited until wednesday and heard nothing (stated as in stock) so i checked my account and still hadnt even been picked, so i emailed and they said it would be with me on thursday, checked again on thursday still not been picked, emailed again and im told its out of stock so why tell me its gonna be delivered then.

Anyway cancelled the order and reordered it this time through scan plus some sata cables at midnight thursday, picked and shipped by 4pm on friday to be delivered on monday, absolutely brilliant, why cant all retailers be this efficient. Free shipping with hexus account too, needless to say i shall never be buying from overclockers again, as im gonna stick with the ever reliable Scan.

    Top marks and thanks

    Re: Brilliant service

Hello again, im having problems with the Icy Box 390 i purchased.

Please see the link to my other thread about this problem. Icy Box thread

I have since contacted your technical department via your web site and i have also removed the drive from the caddy and tested it using the internal sata connection for my silicon imaging controller which is the same as the rear sata connection and the drive works fine on this. I think the caddy maybe faulty but i am concerned about rma'ing it as i do not wnat to get stung with the return postage thing if it isnt faulty. It didnt work initially as my other thread states and still works now via USB so im wondering if there is a problem with the saupplied e-sata cable or possibly there is a break in the internal connections somewhere (does it have its own internal controller for the e sata bit).

    Thanks

    Gary
