Building a computer for a friend and interested in this case. Looking on scan the price is £121.03 inc VAT and it's only a pre-order

This is way above what it costs elsewhere, it can be had for approx £70 at some sites with current stock. What's motivated scan to price it so crazily high?

I beleive scan's prices are dictated by their suppliers as they can update them as they see fit. Something to that effect anyway. So it won't be a conscious decision by scan to price it like that.

Makes sense, but surely suppliers must be aware of what constitutes a competitive price just like the rest of us? With a price like that no-one with any sense and/or access to google is going to purchase it.

When they don't sell any they will lower the price anyway

Just order it elsewhere or wait until that happens
