    Delivery charge

    Opps,

Just placed an order with Scan and afterwards I realised I didn't get my free delivery!
Anything we could do about this?

    Re: Delivery charge

Have you registered for free shipping?

Once this is done, and your Scan account is linked to your Hexus account, shipping is removed automatically on subsequent orders.

Officially, as you haven't registered, you won't get the free shipping.

I'm sure someone from Scan will be along to confirm this shortly

    Re: Delivery charge

Remember that free carriage only applies if the value of the order is over (or equal) 20 pounds - excluding vat & delivery.

    Re: Delivery charge

If it's the order placed for the hard drive - you have not had free carriage on the order, as you created a new account which does not have the offer applied.

    Re: Delivery charge

No, this is the same account that I've always had, I've changed email address at some point, but that's about it.
Not only did I have to pay for the postage, It was a day late, and you guys gave permission to city-link to deliver it to my neighbour whom I barely know.

For a company who normally go beyond my expectations when it comes to service I must say I feel a little let down with the last order.

As we have already advised the account you have already registered for free carriage is different to the new account you used to place this order. IE you did not use an account registered with free carriage, which is the reason why carriage was charged.

You also have already confirmed to me that the account registered with free carriage is our parents address and not your own address, which you ordered under for this order.

We can rectify this by changing the details, but this will in-effect delete your parents account so we will need confirmation from the account holder to do this.

Alternatively you can place your order's via the sales line.

I understand your frustration, however you ordered under a different account not registered with free carriage.

    Best Regards

    Re: Delivery charge

I'm also sure the driver left a note saying where your parcel was? This is very good of citylink as normally they don't leave anything and go back to the depot with your parcel.

Depends entirely on the driver and the depot. The Aberdeen branch is very good, others not so much.

    Re: Delivery charge

I know the driver quite well, I get a lot of things delivered from scan and other companies!
There was no note left and when I checked the parcel tracking it said it was delivered to someone who is not me, or the GF, which I thought was a bit odd. I didn't know my neighbours name so called citylink to find out exactly where it was.
When I asked the lady from city link why it wasn't re-delivered the next day her response was that the sender had given permission to deliver it to a neighbour.

Which is quite funny because I've been waiting for my parcels today and it's a no show yet again, no point complaining is there. Your better of paying for delivery then you might get it on the day you need it.

    Re: Delivery charge

Free carriage orders are sent no differently from any other carriage type: paid or otherwise.

If you can PM me your details - then we'll certainly check into this, when all the required systems are available again.

She'd probably tell you anything to get you off the phone. Not that I think the service at City-Link is questionable /smirk.
