    Faulty HDD

Received a Seagate 7200.11 500Gig HDD (well two of them) from Scan earlier this week (16th Sept). During the overnight RAID5 migration on the NB5200Pro one of the new HDD's failed - listed as Warning on the Drive Info page. Testing on SeaTools it fails rather quickly on the Long Generic and Long Drive Self Test. Pretty sure it's DOA. Problem is, I'm flying overseas for 2.5 weeks so won't be able to return the drive until early October (6-7th). Will this still fall under the DOA (28 days?) limit where Scan will collect and replace the unit at their cost for freight?

Can't you get someone to return it for you?

an RMA number is valid for 14 days? so raise a ticket end of sept if you have internet access and then you will still have time to send it back after you return. Or raise the ticket and request pickup oct 7 (or most convenient date).
