    Compatibility issues

    Hello,
so after I finally got my long awaited for CPU heatsink bracket I find out it doesn't fit. It turns out that it's only compatible with XXX4,5 and 6 series coolers. So, long story short, I found the compatible Crossbow and was wondering where I stand in terms of returning the one I have. Do I really need to shell out another 15 quid? If it's relevant, I also have Scansure.

Whilst I'm here, I'd also like to express my general disappointment with the detail of information given about these particular products. I've now worked out that "4pcs H.P." means it's compatible with coolers with 4 heat pipes. What would be infintely superior to this would be to just write out what series of cooler it actually fits in the technical specs tab.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Re: Compatibility issues

Did you consider typing the manufacturer product code in to Google and researching what it was before buying it?

I recently bought a Zalman bracket for mounting extra 80mm fans inside my case. I researched them on the net so I knew what I was buying and whether it would fit. If you don’t really know much about the type of product you are buying you cant really complain about a lack of info on the Scan site.

I’ve compared the Scan and Xigmatek's own description of this product and there’s not much different. You could complain that Scan shortened Heatpipe to H.P. but if you didn’t know what H.P. meant why didn’t you investigate further before purchasing?
