pgr 3 issues

This game is beginning to piss me off, every once in a while the game freezes, i was in the middle of the race approaching the finishing line in a race at 1st position and the game FREEZES!!

i also have problem with texture objects appearing randomly during races,(in the sky, around buildings, in the f-in track!) wtf is that all about! it cant be my console because all other games run without issues. this game is good but it has some major issues. are these common issues with the game and is their a solution to the problem besides throwing the game away in the bin?

i expect problems like this on a pc game, not in a bloody console!!

Sounds like the graphics chip overheating. PGR seems to be one of the games that is shows up on first (along with GRAW)

I can confirm that the game isn't supposed to do that.

I've been playing it since last November and it has frozen on me yet, I haven't noticed texture objects appearing randomly either.

Not entirely sure what the problem is, but my first guess would be your game disc. Might be a bad disc hence only problems with that game.
Worth getting fixed though, PGR3 is the best game I've played in the last year or so

sure its not just a simple cd scratch? And good point actualyl I have a spare copy of this which I need to get rid of, can't be asked to list it at the moment tho

umm yea it might be the game because i notice one or two scratches when i bought the game off the shop called GAME! they must have sold me a bloody 2nd hand game thats the last time im ever gunna buy from them

i have graw also and that never had any texture issues. however it did use to freeze on me but it stopped when i added th nyko cooler for the back of the console

You must have got one of the first couple of thousand since most recent ones don't have any problems with heat and stuff.

I play PGR3 lots and have never had an issue with it, and my disc has become quite scratched now.

I would agree with the others, its probably your xbox overheating. Ring microsofts xbox division (DONT EMAIL) and they may even replace the xbox, as at the end of the day, if it is over-heating, it is faulty.

Problem 1:

does the disk have this big round scratch on the back of the disk? because if so then thta means you were playing the game and you moved the console. and you might of heard a noise coming from your 360. that means your 360 just scratched your PGR 3

Problem 2:
One of your Fans might not be working properly. Which means you can open it up and inspect the two fans. this was a problem for the people who did not gte the developer kits. The first 1000-2000 people who got the 360 had this problem. but as i have 5 developer kits i do not have this problem.

Problem 3:
You have a bad copy of this disk.

the scratches on the cd appear to be random, tehya re not highly noticable but if your looking for scratches on a disk its their all over it. it might be a over heating issue because graw use to freeze some times also but after i moved the 360 to a different place it stopped freezing.

i have 4 other games and none of them freezes or have texture probs like pgr3. i just tested pgr 3 this evening and played for about 30mins and there was no problem at all.. it freezes and gets the etxture problem once in a while but not all the time...

how long is the warranty for the 360?

Sup jon, i dont have any problems with my PGR3 and i play it the most out of my games. Might be your xbox is over heating but you said about those fans you got so might be a Console problem if it carrys on with other games.
