    Quick RMA Question

What do I need to put on the outside of the packaging?

I've never had to RMA anything to anyone before and the emails arranging it, whilst quick, seem to assume that I know exactly how it all works!

Do I need to put an address on it, or does the courier Scan have arranged know where it's going?

Does it need the RMA number on the outside, or is a bit of paper inside ok?

I want it to go smoothly cos I have a pile of bits sat here I can't build yet, so I don't want to cause hassle by not labelling stuff up right!

edit - 'Posts 1' ? What happened to all my old posts? :O

There are no other posts in the database under your username. None that have been deleted that I can see, and certainly none in any threads that have been dumped, and I could see them if there were.

However ..... there is another very similar username with around a couple of hundred posts. Do you have more than one account? If so, I'd suggest you used the wrong one.

    Re: Quick RMA Question

There we go, anyway, I still need to know what to put on and/or in the RMA package before it gets picked up

    Re: Quick RMA Question

I'd recommend putting the address, and RMA clearly on the outside. This will ensure it ends up at the right place.

Also always include a note inside the package, detailing the RMA No, your return address and details of the fault.

    Re: Quick RMA Question

OK, I assume the address is just the same as the main one on the invoices etc?

So far all I know is that a courier is coming on Friday to pick it up

    Re: Quick RMA Question

If our courier is collecting the parcel, then they will put a sticker on the outside which contains the RMA number and our address, so not to worry to much but you can also put this information on the outside of the packaging if you wish.

I've just been and stuck the address and RMA number on the outside, then came back and read this.

    Cheers for the help though!

The first email i got suggested turnaround is 10 days, do you know if that's working days or including weekends and that from receipt or when I first made contact about it? I'm itching to get this PC built! (the RMA is due to missing heatsink brackets)

    Re: Quick RMA Question

Received and tested today, which impressed me. Fingers crossed a replacement makes its way out the door today as well but I suspect tomorrow is more likely.

Thanks going to michaelw and ianh according to the RMA tracker!

    Re: Quick RMA Question

Anyone able to give me a rough idea how long turnaround is after testing?

The RMA tracker has it all ticked off up to 'Awaiting replacement' as of yesterday lunchtime. The item is in stock etc.
