Intel X25-M G2 Drives Trim firmware v1.4 might brick drive.

If you are running Windows 7 and thinking of updating to the new firmare v1.4 to enable trim on an Intel X25-M G2 Drive, you might want to hold off.

I did the update yesterday and all seems ok, but am a bit nervous as some are reporting the drive failed a few hours later.

Because I saw some recent posts from Scan customers about to receive their drives.

If they are using with Windows 7 then one of the first things they might do is update the firmware to enable trim.

Ideal after sales support for scan customers helping each other I would have thought.
