At present not so easy with these booting issues.

Hope you get it sorted fella.
You cannot overclock the 2500K on a H67 board. So you either need to get a P67 board, or get a 2500 CPU and not overclock.

I am also having boot issues with my P8P67-M and I have had to RMA it.

    Andy,

True you cannot overclock fully, but it will a bit. The problem is that I would make use of the video encoding/editing etc more than overclocking.

The K chips have better onboard graphics (which is stupid as they are designed more for the P boards which can't use it???) for use with the H67.

I think the Z68 and K will be the best combo...just want it now!!!

Re: Asus P8P67 Pro Mobo Not booting

Hey guys, I came across this forum while searching for answers. I have just built a new rig, Asus P8P67LE board, i5 2400 and 4gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 ram. Now when I plug it in for the first time the system will spin up it's fans and run for a second, then shut off. Three seconds later it will boot and run fine with no issues. I have updated the Bios at Ebuyers advice, checked the DRAM voltage which was at auto and 1.5v. The ram states 1.65v so I have upped the voltage manually. Is this a fault with the board or just a quirk of Asus set-ups? My PSU is new a couple of weeks back and ram fine with no issues on my old Asrock based system. Worried I have a duff board!

    Spec
    Asus P8P67LE
    i5 2400
    4gb Corsair XMS3 ddr3 ram 1600
    500gb WD HDD
    His 5770
    OCZ 550w PSU

Re: Asus P8P67 Pro Mobo Not booting

The bios update worked for me version 1204

I had to update, which i did the easy way from windows twice and it looks like the 1204 version got most of the bugs.

i had an issues with ram voltages as well. check your ram is getting what it needs

I updated to the 0704 bios but no joy. The board will be exchanged by ebuyer and I should have a new one in a few days. Will let you know if the replacement works ok.

Re: Asus P8P67 Pro Mobo Not booting

I have the asus p8p67le myself and it does the quick boot dumb also. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to happen so don't freak out, even though I did the first few times it happened. Anytime you or the system changes any bios settings whether its dram timings, system settings, boot orders, etc...it runs this quick dumb boot. But if you hear anything else about it please let me know.

I talked with intel today and the 6 series chipset series is bad. new chips are shipping end of February to board manufactures and the turn around is expected by the end of April.. I contacted tigerdirect today since I bought the board from them and they are just finding out how they're going to handle the returns. my advice would be to call whomever you bought your board from and figure out how they will replace it.

Re: Asus P8P67 Pro Mobo Not booting

I have just got my board back from Ebuyer. The boot thing had me worried. They found it to be faulty and sent me a new one. Then to my dismay the new one did exactly the same thing, so it's led me to believe that the dumb boot what these boards do. Now in regards to the recall/exchange, Ebuyer says I need to contact Asus for the swap, but I beleive I need to get Ebuyer to do it as I bought it from them. Using 6gbps port at the mo just incase. Bt having said that, Intel have stress tested a whole load of chips with three years worth of load and only 5% of chips failed.
