However I don't think either do the type of Monitor/TV your after. LG definatly do but I have no idea what they are like. Samsung may be a safe bet though.
I can't find any Dell or HP screens with the features i require... It must have HDMI, DVI-D, audio in/out ports and be suitable for gaming, so a 2ms TN panel is pretty much required as MVA and IPS panels tend to get a bit blurry or ghost with fast paced games. Ideally i don't want to be spending more than £200 on a screen.

The screen i want is the LG W2442PE-BF after trying one out... It's perfect and is matte black instead of having that tacky glossy look which you see too often these days (gloss is too easy to scratch and collects dust too easily!).

Re: Faulty Acer monitor/TV... Had enough!!

I finally recveived the TV/monitor back from Acer today and i am absolutely fuming at their total incompetence!!!!! They have chewed up the edges of the screen with whatever tool they used to pry it open and they did not replace the stand they scratched up... They tried to polish it instead so now it looks permanently cloudy/hazy. They didn't even fix the bloody problem it went in for!! I've taken photo's of everything and now i want Scan to either refund or replace it since i've only had it a few months. They have even added more scratches to the plastic bezel around the screen...

I'M NEVER BUYING AN ACER PRODUCT EVER AGAIN. ACER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ENGINEERS ARE TOTAL CRAP!!!

Re: Faulty Acer monitor/TV... Had enough!!

Acer finally gave in and sent me a brand new replacement (after being sent back 3 times, making numerous phone calls and sending various emails with photos... And waiting over a month!!). At least they sent me a better (and more expensive) model... But the sound quality is abysmal.

Anyway this is the worst experience i've ever had with any company and i'm NEVER going to buy another Acer product again. Their engineers and non-English call centers are appalling!! I wouldn't be surprised if they employ children to do the repairs.
