Core i7 3rd gen in bundles & specs

Great to see the new Ivy Bridge chips appearing on Scan. I can see both the i5 and i7 chips in search:

    URL deleted

but only the i5 seems to be available in the overclocked bundles:

    URL deleted

and in the 3xs build systems:

    URL deleted

Are the new chips going to appear in specs/bundles too soon please?

Re: Core i7 3rd gen in bundles & specs

The 3XS team are currently working on all the OC bundles and 3XS systems on the website and updating them to reflect the newer processor choices that have become available.

You should see them start to appear on the systems really soon

    Best Regards,

Re: Core i7 3rd gen in bundles & specs

I am seriously considering an upgrade, but the potential deal maker is the CPU cooler.
I really want one of the newer Be Quiet Dark Rock 2 CPU coolers. The only place that "pretends" to have them in stock is Aria.
I'm really pleased that 4.5Ghz seems a safe bet, but if its a new cpu i also want the new cpu cooler

Any information on if / when you will get these in?
If so will they be added to the bundles options?

Lastly... does the OC bundles include the anti-static wrist band?

Gotta be honest, the anti-static wrist band coming free is a bit ridiculous. I can't see it making much difference to how I maintain my computer having never suffered a static problem.......................................................... yet!

Re: Core i7 3rd gen in bundles & specs

It's the little things that go a long way. A smile, a thank you, a lap dance, etc, etc
I have generally been loyal to scan due to the fact that in my first build 'way back when' they included a free gift of a usb ethernet adapter.
It cost about £6 at the time and I never used it but it was a genuine nice surprise.
I'm just waiting now for the boss to donate his GT-R for a competition scan

Well that's enough sucking up. The wrist strap isn't essential but is a nice gesture, though the CPU cooler is kinda important to me, cos I'm weird.
