Question Need some advice el rapido!!

I'm thinking of picking up some new kit on the 29th, the advice i need is

Do i go for the AMD 3700 clawhammer with a 1mb cache on a 754 asus Asus K8N-E Deluxe board with a gig of twin corsair XMS pro

    or

the AMD 3500 939 processor and the newer 939 board, higher buss less cache???? with the same memory

and as anyone heard a review on the 256MB Gainward GeForce 6800GT PP Golden Sample GPU yet, any good, or the drivers for Gainward still iffy??

Don't want to cock this one up guys, advice would be appreciated

Don't see why there'd be any problem with the drivers since the cards all use the same drivers from nVidia (so far as I know). Out of all the new graphics card, the 6800GT is probably the best value, and has a slight edge on the X800s due to Shader Model 3.0. Of course, they're all stupidly fast, so either is brilliant!

As for the CPU, do you want to be able to upgrade in the future? If you do, go for Socket 939 since that will be AMD's main socket for a while, whereas Socket 754 will become the budget socket.

It wasn't the drivers it was a BIOS problem.

not too bothered about upgrades, tend to change the unit every 12 months & move on, just really interested in gettin the best overall performance now, and tryin to work out whether the 939 with a 512 cahce chip but the faster clock speed or the 754 with the 1Mb would give me the edge
