Clicking on the link to the product page shows this as having 1GHz RAM... Presume this isn't true. If it is then this is a BARGAIN cuz 1Ghz is the same speed as the 6600GT's RAM...
Can someone please confirm / deny?

Am I going bonkers or has the RAM speed been removed now?!?
Just been searching the net and can't find any concrete info. Komplett are listing the card as having 1GHz RAM too - but on a 64-bit bus (the GTs have a 128 bit memory bus) - if that's the case then even though it has 1GHz RAM it would still perform like 500MHz RAM on a 128-bit bus...
(any chance someone can stick one in a PC and see?)
FWIW the picture on the product page appears to be a XFX 6800GT card
LMAO, do you enjoy talking to yourself
What's that edit button do again?
memory speed has been changed to 'to be confirmed'

Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
They are probably waiting for a definitive answer on the speed / width of the memory bus before answering. Though yes - would be nice to see an acknowledgement (though I'm probably not the only person to notice). One thing I will say (if it turns out to be GDDR3 running @ 1GHz and has a 128-bit bus):Originally Posted by skuzgib
Save me one!
(and I wonder if the 128MB XFX card has the same specs too... and how cheap would that be if it is? Now THAT could be a HUUUUUGE bargain)
well, my 6600GT arrived today. I'm waiting on a spanking new case and then I'll let you know how many games I can rape sideways 'tis ddr3 too
one thing I have found is that the fan and heat sink seems to be coming off a tad too easily! anyone able to offer a fix for this would be great, posted this here...cheers
p.s. everything arrived safe and sound, Thanks Scan (and Carl once again for sorting it out, great service)
retarded edti: fixed the fan/heat sink all good...now just waiting for the rma'd psu to come back so i can continue flexing up the 6600gt action

Ok,
The card that was on Today Only (the standard 6600) did have the incorrect memory speed on there and therefore was ammended as soon as the error was spoted.
As far as I know the memory speed is around 800 Mhz, however as soon as we get confirmation we shall ammend the product info for the correct details.
Well spotted
P.S the picture is indeed a 6800GT and this shall also be updated as soon as possible.
Regards,

I think you mean the standard 6600 not 6800.Originally Posted by Carlh

I've been wondering how much worse the plain 6600s were compared to the GTs (which is why the 1GHz mem clock interested me)... If you want me to test one and report back I don't mind
Malfunction,
I am sure the cards will be tested in due course
I would have offered to test them myself however I not too long ago purchased a 6800GT (AGP) therefore would me me changin my complete system again.
I shall check this when I get in the office tomorrow and see if I can get the correct details for this card updated upon the website.
Still no mem speed quoted... But I *think* the core speed has changed from 350MHz to 400MHz... So maybe someone put it in the wrong field?
