Whats the best way to hook up a PS2 to a media centre?

Hi,
I am going to be building a media centre for a mate soon, but one of his needs is to be able to hook up the Playstation 2 to the monitor or PC thus enabling him to get rid of his 14inch portable as well as the VCR.
Whats the best solution for this?

Dunno for sure, but I've heard there may be around 5 secods lag with it being a PVR, similar to watching TV via the media centre and watching via normal tv there is a lag as the tv is being recorded to the H/D.

Only other thing I can think of is via TV in on the Gigabyte 6600gt passive VIVO card, but not sure if that will lag also :/
