not stating a war but id go with none of the mentioned cards, pick yaself up a ATI X1900 XT they are a far stronger card

1. Nothing to do with the question asked so why mention it?

2. Thats a typical 'fanboy' comment and nothing more.

3. ATI cards run wayyyy to hot.

4. Its swings and roundabouts. I used to be as blinkered as you but i moved from the darkside to nVidia and wouldnt go back now.
ATI cards have THE WORST driver support in history.

I swapped a 7800GTX for a pair of 7900GTs. They overclock better, are a bit cheaper, and faster out of the box.

the 7800GTX is more expensive at scan as they set selling prices as a fixed amount over buying usually, even if the product has been superseded, which it has in this case.

Two 7900GT's in SLi will give you tons of performance. If you can stretch to two 7900GTO's you wont be disappointed. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=465758

Better cooler, higher clocks, pretty much a GTX and only a few extra quid.

I would go for a used 7800GTX, they dont have the reliability issues of the ill fated 7900 GT and the performance is very similar. They do run hotter, but its nothing major.
