Question about Dell Monitor warrenties

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a dell monitor but I was wondering about the warrenties. I have just asked Dell themselves and they said that the warrenty would be under the companies' name and as such I would not be able to use the warrenty directly, I would have to send the monitor back to where I bought it if it went wrong?

is this true?

No, this is not the case, as Telefrax became aware we cant get Dell to deal with the warranty direct, but it does take a couple of days to action, however, as im sure you will see if you read Telefrax's post onsite warranty is offered by Dell directly.

thought i would let you know... Scan got their wholesale to call me which in turn told me he was sick of Dell not doing their part if you call. So he called dell for me and later that day someone called from dell arranged a NEXT DAY SWOP OUT. I now have a new monitor - its manufacture date is older then my last one but for some reason it seems this has a different panel and is much more bright and sharp.
