Placed a large-ish order yesterday afternoon with Scan for a SFF system and associated components to do a new build for my girlfriend this Easter break.
I paid the premium for Saturday delivery (and it's stated correctly on the invoice) mainly so I could get it built while I am off work for Easter, plus because there won't be anyone around to sign for it during the week anyway (What is it with couriers all delivering 9-5 anyway, does no-one think that people do actually have to go to work and aren't around at home to sign for stuff in office hours?!! - ahwell, that's another point!)
Anyway all seemed to go well, got the despatch confirmed emails etc. But... Just checked my tracking number on the Citylink website and it says scheduled for delivery 18th - Tuesday! Brilliant. Looks like whoever packed my order put it through on the standard delivery option instead of Saturday so not only have I paid a huge premium for nothing but I will now have to waste time and petrol driving to the depot (which is a real pain to get to) in rush hour after work to get it myself anyway...
I hope this is an error on City-link's website but I'm not getting my hopes up too much. A real shame because upto now I was really impressed with the prices and ordering process
