hello scan, I brought my new pc parts 2 weeks ago & have just found a problem
i was concerned the 580W HiperPower Type-R was giving off a lot of heat, just stuck my head in the case to find the 120mm fan not moving, turned the pc off to take a closer look and can see one of the fins bent and pushed onto the fan guard, pushed it off with my finger and restarted the PC and its making a hell of a noise as the fin is catching the guard, so now in my infinate wisdom i have pushed the fin back with my screwdriver
so its all working again, but im a little concerned that the fan has been stuck fast for nearly 2 weeks, there is no damage to the PSU casing, just a bent fin inside, well was bent. the PSU has been very hot, and i thought it was due to the jump in power from my last one, but now its running warm, not hot.
will you RMA this even though the fin is almost straight again & not making a noise ?
afaik its not done the lifespan of the PSU any good, and i dont really want it going postal and wiping out my system through already done heat damage, plus the 120mm fan must be on its last legs if its been siezed up 2 weeks.
anyway, if you will RMA this even though its working ( i can bend that fin again if you need me to) can you do an advanced RMA like i do with maxtor ?
will be ordering that dell 24" with a 7900GTX tonight when i pop round me old mans to use his credit card, so if by any chance you could reply very quick i can make sure i retain the card details for the advanced RMA.. or if you permit an advanced RMA i will buy a new one for refund when you get the old one ?
let me know plz..
