is it on the box or the cpu , and if its on the box why you need to take it off, if its on the cpu then i think you have to take it off.
the box as i want to send another cpu in the post
anyone?
I would think you would need to keep the box, just in case you are required to send it back to us if there is any issue with it.
The 7900GX2 OEM I bought from you had a sticker on the actual heatsink (someone had gouged a hole in the antistatic bag to do it... thought that was odd) but the E6600 and the Xclio 700W PSU I bought have the stickers on the boxes.
So Lee, can you please confirm this is true with all your items and that we have to keep the boxes for everything?

You need to keep packaging, in case anything needs to be returned under warranty.
I beleive no one can deny you a repair or replacement under warranty based on not having the packaging.

No of course not, but it's much easier for yourself if you have the original packaging as you wont need to search for something to pack it in. Also if you do return an item not in original packaging the you will receive a replacement from us without manufacturers packaging as we will keep it for our return to manufacturer.
Do the manufacturers make you do that?
Since the item you are returning to them is already broken, seems more sensible to send that without packaging that the new item you are shipping to a customer, which might then get broken in the post...
I have had to RMA an item to scan without the original packaging and you get the replacement back in an anti static bag and about 20cm deep of bubble wrap, so i think you would have to try very hard to damage the item.
However in my experience if its an expensive item i would reccomend hanging on to the packaging.
I have a room upstairs devoted to boxes , I have bought a lot of items and made a few pc'c in the last few months and the room is half full, my wife really gets really annoyed with them.Originally Posted by alcor
