i recently brought a motherboard from scan which was broken, i rma'd it and was picked up on monday. I checked today the board has been declared as faulty and a new one will be sent out to me. I phoned 2 mins ago to confirm that when the new board is sent out to me that it has the correct bios needed to run a e6600, only to be told by and ignorant **** on the rma service that they cant check the bios even tho its written on the chip so it only requires opening up the box to have alook at, as i dont have any other 775 chips to be able to flash i dont see this as unreasonable and then he hung up on me after being rude and arrogant.
TBH after the problems i have had from scan receiving a dead motherboard, a customer service assistant basically telling me she couldnt deal with my query as she had 2 other ppl in the queue, and another customer service telling me that she would deal with a credit card issue then not bothering so i had to chase up again, theres no way she could have dealt with it as it needed my authorisation via the net, and technical support telling me to return my cpu as well motherboard and then not including it in the RMA. Im not goin to bother using scan again.
