I purchased the MSI K9NSLI -2F motherboard last month and have had power down issues, my system seems to be stable when playing games or casually browsing the internet but when i try to burn a disk or download or transfer large files using the onboard lan my pc shuts it's self down and leaves the power light on my case blinking slowly as if it's in a low power state, the only way to make my machine operational again is to turn off the power supply for 20 secs then power on again, at first i thought it was driver or bios related but after trying different drivers and looking on msi's user support forum i have found out im not the only one with this problem, i contacted msi about the problem and followed what very little help they had to offer to no avail, they're last suggestion to me was to rma the motherboard, according to one of the moderators on the msi user forum the revision S/N 601-7250-080 (which is the revision i have) has power down issues when used with dual core processors and the issue was not apparent when used with amd sempron or single core athlon 64's and is supposedly due to an incorrect capacitor on the motherboard, i have already tried over the last week to contact scan and rma the board but havent yet had a reply, could someone possibly tell me how long i have to wait before someone deals with my rma request as i would really like to be able to use my computer without any problems i'v already lost a dvd writer with this problem due to my machine powering down when i tried flashing the firmware leaving my dvd writer unusable
