    1. Does this lot work ok (suggestions welcome).
    2. Does your stock of the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe have the latest bios that supports the E6600.
    3. As this will be used as a PC & HTPC Would it be worthwhile getting a different cpu cooler or is the stock one quiet.
    4. Lastly is it all in stock.

    Thanks for looking....

Looks good, let us know how that HDMI graphics card works! I got a DVI-D to HDMI connector yesterday only to realise that my HDTV doesnt seem to support PC connection over DVD-D->HDMI, quality is awful!

    I'm currently running dvi to hdmi from a Asus 7600gs passive card to a Sony 40" 2000x looks absolutely stunning @ 1920 x 1080.
I will let you know what I think of the hdmi card as soon as I've tested it mate.

The P5W DH supports Core2 out of the box so you should be fine there. The RAM is great too, i dont see how you can go wrong here!

I think its my HDTV that has issues, i have a Samsung R7 32". I might try it again, but it doesnt look as crisp as when i use the analog D-Sub connector shockingly, even though i can run it at 1080i!

The Intel HSF is not bad, but ideally id go for a different one as it can get noisy on high speeds.

The P5W DH has onboard WiFi (g) so you probably don't need the Edimax - not sure on the performance but sure some P5W owners can comment of Wifi signal strength (??)

Otherwise looks really good - similar to the system I have on my wish list...

The Edmax & the sound card are for a customer mate I intend using the on board WiFi & the on board Audio digitally feeding Denon Av & Tag power amps, or that's the plan for now anyway !

Incorrect. Although asus say on the box it does...the truth is quite different. If you ring your order through, ask for your board to be flashed before despatch and ill flash this for you.

It's a lot easier for them to do it if you contact the sales team.

Everything looks okay, but try and upgrade your soundcard to the basic Creative XFi oem range.

    Thanks Pands

This is what I thought although I was told that the latest boards Asus are sending out have the latest bios already.
I will give you a bell sometime tuesday & get this sorted. I've never known a company with so many excellent & helpful Staff it seems the best just keep getting better
