I purchased the above online and it was delivered to me on 5th December, but due to delays in the activation of my ADSL line at home I've only been able to start using it over the opast few days. And it's driving me mad!
1) The unit freezes up regularly when I am trying to enter any settings, and needs to be unplugged from the mains to 'unfreeze'
2) It won't connect to my ADSL, though I have checked and tripled checked the settings (the same settings used at the moment in the wired modem I am connected through).
3) The DHCP server refuses to assign an IP to my wireless adapter.
4) It won't broadcast on the SSID or Channel I choose.
And I could go on. Before buying this router I'd read a lot of reviews, some glowing, some not, but I went with the positive opinions...perhaps I should have gone with the negatives as it's clear this product doesn't do what it says on the tin.
I want to exchange this for a similiar model, something more user friendly and something that actually works. I was planning to come up to Middlebrook next week but I just noted that you are closed until the New Year!
Will I still be able to exchange on the weekend after New Year, I'm concerned about any 28 day issues. I could really do with not coming up today, as I suspect it's probably chaos up there.
