    Motherboard DOA - Question.

    I received an Asus Commando today and It has multiple problems, the main one being that it doesnt work

    Rather than get it collected, would it be quicker if I nipped up with it, and would you be able to do me a swap there and then?

    Edit: I think there was supposed to be a game in the box as well, but there wasnt, and the dvd with all the utils and drivers on appears to be for 680i.

    thanks

    arr yes my driver cd was for a 680i and said asus striker extreme on it which might explain some of the issues I have had. I think clunk has the same problem as I had, in which case it is broken .

    yes we do counter returns if you call in with the product we will happily test and replace (dependant on stock availability) whilst you wait.

    I brought the duff one back today and swapped it for another, unfortunately, the replacement is showing the exact same problems, booted once, then died.

    As the journey there and back took me almost 6 hours today, could you please check your stock and see if you have any different batch numbers of these for me?

    On the box, it says;

    Serial number 6CMCAC813731
    Part No 90-MBB5MO-GOEAYOOZ (they might be 0 instead of O)
    EAN 4 719543 148181

    Check Number 2028

    UPC 6 10839 14818

    If you need any more info, let me know.

    P.S. Normally, I would be thinking that something else was at fault, but I have tried 2 CPUs, 2 sets of ram and another psu and all of them work fine with the trusty old P5B deluxe.

    Thanks

    At the moment we've only a very small percentage of these boards returned compared to the total we have in stock so it doesn't look to be a possiblr dodgy batch.
