    Anybody ever bought from Ginger6?

Just wondered what they were like, cause they've got a GFX card I'm after, a bit cheaper than anywhere else....

I have been to their premises and met the boss, Kevin,

they are really nice people to talk to,

they do not carry most items in that warehouse, it is in another somewhere else in the country,

if i order on a Wednesday for collection on Friday, they usually phone me on the Thursday to let me know it has arrived,

    overall, really good from experience.

    Yeah I agree

I bought a cheap Asus motherboard and Celeron D processor off there.

    No problems at all.

    I was there on thursday,

bought a couple of parts for a build,

ended up talking to Kevin for about 30 mins about Hexus to start with and then new tech,

once again, at last, someone in the west midlands i can collect from instead of having to go to the computer markets and some dodgy dealers there, ( I'm not pointing at all of them but, I have had my fair share of bad experiences in the early days)

Get yourselves down to Ginger6 if you live local

    You won't regret it,

And no, I do not work there

Re: Anybody ever bought from Ginger6?

    ginger6

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

just wanted to warn of the inferior quality and technical support offered by this company.

I have had nothing but problems with my:
    1 x G6 Atomic 9600GTi SLI Gaming PC (A-9600GTi) = £677.93
    11 - Operating System - Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
    09 - Keyboard & Mouse - ----------------
    10 - Speakers - ----------------
    06 - Floppy - ----------------
    08 - PCI Slot 1 - ----------------
    00 - CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 (4x 2.66GHz) 1066, 4mb
00 - CPU Cooler - Standard Intel CPU Cooler
    01 - Case - Cooler Master Centurion 590
    01 - Case Fans - 1x Cooler Master 12cm Blue
    01 - Power Supply - 750w PowerCool 80+
    02 - Motherboard Asus P5N-D - 750i Chipset
    03 - Memory - 4gb Kingston Hyper-X DDR2 800mhz CL5.0
    04 - Hard Drive 1 - 500gb SATA2 Hard Drive
    04 - Hard Drive 2 - ----------------
    04 - Hard Drive 3 - ----------------
    04 - Hard Drive 4 - ----------------
05 - Optical Drive 1 - Dual Layer DVDRW Drive
    05 - Optical Drive 2 - ----------------
    12 - Office - ----------------
    13 - Antivirus - ----------------
    13 - Other Software - ----------------
    14 - Monitor - ----------------
    14 - Monitor 2 - ----------------
15 - Warranty - 1 Year Collect and Return Warranty (Mainland UK ONLY)
    17 - External Hard Drive - ----------------
    ------------------------------------------------------
It crashes constantly from the day i received it. I sent a return request on the day i received it. After having it for 4 weeks they sent it back in the same state.
sent it back again. same scenario.

They are denying there is a fault saying its a software issue. it has been the same since the day i received when there was only the os on there.

They are refusing to give a refund. Even though it is under warranty and inherently faulty and not fit for purpose.

I have spent 7 weeks out of the last 6 months without the pc all together while it has been with ginger6. And the rest of the time with a pc that crashes every time u put a game on. some games pc!

I have wasted 2 months trying to sort this, and i would hate for other ppl to waste their time with a company that flouts the sale of goods act, and has no sort of technical support.

My advice ignore the cheap prices and buy from a shop with in travelling distance from you and buy in person over the counter.

Riiiight. And you needed to bump another two threads to say this because?...

Message received, for whatever reason and whoever's fault it is you have a broken PC and you're unhappy about it. Why spam the board about it? What do you want to achieve? If you want some help working out what the problem is then ask for it over in Help - technical and advisory and I'm sure people will be happy to help. Otherwise you're wasting your time.
