Amazon.co.uk - slow slow slow

Bioshock finally arrived today.. I had pre-ordered it and it was released a week ago.

Seems that recently (since they switched from Royal Mail) Amazon delivery has got really slow for me.

3-5 days isn't it with FREE carriage.............

Yeah, I've got another package that's taken longer than that yet to be delivered.

Other sites with free delivery manage it in 1-2 days, and so did Amazon until recently.

I think most Pre-orders are a bit hit and miss dependent on supplier........

Anyone else get their pre-order of Bioshock elsehwhere ??? - When did it arrive ???

The other package wasn't even pre-order.. everything was in stock :/

If I order from Amazon with Free postage, I expect it to arrive in about two weeks.

Think it takes them 3-5 days just to post it.

The reason for the other package being slow might have been discovered - the address label had all the 'e' letters replaced with 'g' instead. The 'Rgfgrgncg' took me a while to work out

Yeah, free delivery is fine, but when it would be faster to walk to their warehouse to collect it, it doesn't seem worth it. Unless you are ordering multiple items of course, and they are trying to charge you £3,000,000 for first class......

i bought my copy from Game and got it on the day of release

Amazon UK have always been hit and miss with delivery times for me. Sometime I can get the item (on Super Saver) the next day... sometimes it takes a couple of weeks. I've never really found any clear pattern to it.
