Anyone ever ordered from Eclipse Computers

I've found some hardware for sale but have never heard of the company and never used them before. Has anyone used Eclipse Computers (Eclipse Computers) before?

How much are their delivery charges?

but i have been in to the shop which is based in coventry.. there pretty competitivly priced.. i only use them if i want to actually pick up goods tho.

My dad ordered a few things from them a few years back, but hasnt used them since. Everything arrived very promptly after ordering. People on hexus trust don't seem to impressed, but there views were from two years ago +.

I don't know what the delivery charge is - if you order a PC they will immediately deduct a £50 deposit.
My PC took over a month to deliver and then when it arrived the graphics card was faulty - it still is faulty over 6 months later (long story but I don't do gaming so am using the onboard)

in general was unimpressed with Eclipse and wish I'd checked the web feedback on their deivery times, product reliability and customer services first

I ordered two hard drives and fans from them last summer, all arrived fine. My frined ordered from them a couple of years i think and he said that they were ok. can't remember how much the delievery charge was though

Have used them once without issues but as others have pointed out they have a reputation for wearing Stetsons and rounding up cattle...

Mate bought a part to make his new rig couple of days ago. Just took an extra day to deliver than the other retailers. His part worked fine. Haven't tried them myself so cannot comment any more than that.

I think they have a stock number issue, cos they dont keep proper stock numbers and almost all bad reviews point to their own built computers but i will risk saying that their product sales/delivery cant be too bad.

I've had a few bits 'n' bobs from them in the last couple of years as well - most recently (May) an AeroCool M-40 Cube mATX Case.
I've never had a problem with any of my orders, but it sounds like I may just have been lucky

Hi,you can Cherry pick bad comments about any company,even Scan,even from this forum
Same with good comments too.
Mainly heard reasonable comments about Eclipse(nowt special)& a few peeps recommending it.
Read a few comments from peeps who live near the retail outlet(Coventry),who buy things from the shop.Ain't heard that much bad,from them,normally good.

Bugger - wish I had seen this thread earlier...

Saw they had a 8Gb Corsair Voyager GT in stock and bought it on the off-chance a few days ago. Money has be taken from my credit card and Ive had an initial email regards the order but nothing since then (so used to being informed).

Its been a few days so should I worry? Since theyve taken money to me that means that theyve confirmed my order and so should be progressing it. To be honest if I get the flash drive after a while Im happy...

The only worrying thing is that I checked today and the same flash drive is now unavailable...

I wouldn't worry too much about buying from them,from what i have seen.
