Pretty sure it's not 'may become' but 'are'.
You are not a legal adult, your guardians are responsible, if you break the contract but not being old enough to legaly decide something like that then you could get your parents into a lot of trouble, especially if a seller decides he wants a refund for the item being faulty and they find out you are a kid.
Makes no difference if you have permission to use their account or not, YOU are the one selling and YOU are not 18.
It is however different to asking someone to buy something on your behalf, but still shouldn't be done.
Why not look into maintaining PCs? That way you can do a service based job as opposed to product which you dont stand a chance of doing well in tbh.
Why dont you just start up locally offering a pc building service to people coming to you requesting builds rather than building a spec for ebay that maybe many wont want.
If you did not sell the item in an ebay auction by the time it relists and is turned around you are losing money having older stock which is depreciating in value the longer you have it.
Unfortunately people like dell and other established builders will have a scale advantage on you and be able to offer (usually) better prices and better added value. If you start looking for business locally you have an advantage of offering a more personal, local and convenient service to your customer.
I agree with all of this. Many companies have gone into liquidation from holding too much stock and prices have dropped leaving them thousands out of pocket.
I can't see you'll ever compete with a bigger company for price or specification. They have the buying power to buy CPU's direct from Intel or AMD at a huge discount and the same for other components.
I agree with what you said, Better to make money from doing repairs on customers PC's or building PC's by special order of customers, At least he won't be sitting on depreciating stock he can't shift.
Remember, Running a business is not about enjoying what your doing, It is about doing something that you can make money from - If you enjoy it as well, It's a bonus.
I've nothing much to add to what's already been said in this thread, but I completely disagree with this.
If you're running your own business, you absolutely should enjoy what you're doing, or else you're setting yourself up for demotivation and ultimate failure right from the start. Of course there will be bad times when you feel like jacking it all in, but if *every* day is nothing more than a necessary chore to be endured rather than appreciated, you may as well stick to being a wage slave where at least you have a predictable and guaranteed income (at least, as much as these things ever are these days).
