The problem with PCI-E x1 is that you barely can get NIC with two ports let alone four...

Price is a bit steep though at over £100.

Other people here have bought from Crescent - did you get any sort of delivery confirmation/how long did they take? All I've had is the one order confirmation email and I think this is the 7th working day after ordering.

    Re: HP N36L Microserver - £100

I have ordered mine yesterday and apart from single email confirming I have placed the order nothing else came through. Did you pick the super saver delivery thingy? It takes quite few days, I think when I checked yesterday it was saying something like 4th of May but I couldn't wait that long...

This morning postman knocked the door though

Yeah I picked the cheapest delivery - I'm in no rush but they were quick enough to take the money from my bank. I might give them a call later to see what the deal is.

Hmm, I'm starting to get a bit concerned now - tried calling them and no answer. Pretty sure I should have heard something by now - can anyone confirm they have actually received anything from this company?

    Re: HP N36L Microserver - £100

Watercooled, I just received my server from Crescent this morning. In perfect condition. They have been extremely helpful over the phone as well, I wouldn't get too concerned yet, although I would keep trying to get hold of them.

I should add that I paid £7 for next-day delivery, even if City-Link managed to muck it up.

    Re: HP N36L Microserver - £100

Thanks, that's some comfort at least. What number did you use to call them? I found an 01 number on that saynoto0870 website which led (I think) to a sales dept, which rings for a while then I get an answer phone. The number in the email is a press 1 for sales, 2 for cust service deal, which just leads to me listening to some music, again with no-one answering.

    Re: HP N36L Microserver - £100

I've been ringing the 0844 so far I think. That's definitely the right number though.

Yesterday they were picking up within 2/3 minutes, today I tried to get through to them and failed, so perhaps there's something up?

I ordered mine from crescent and it did take while (free delivery option), i didn't get any confirmation of dispatch or anything like that so i called them to check up and everything was fine. They where very pleasant and helpful and had no problems with me adjusting the postage address.
I wouldnt worry at all, at the moment things are a bit complicated with all the bank holidays and people taking holiday so they are probably just struggling for staff the same as everywhere.

    Re: HP N36L Microserver - £100

Mine turned up yesterday, next day without any issues.

Crescent are very good place to buy stuff from, just not many people heard of them, that's all.

I definitely would not link up to a 'dodgy' company in my previous post...

Ah thanks guys, like I said I was just expecting more emails like you get from most other e-tailers, informing you how your order is progressing. Any idea if you can use the VAT invoice linked in the email for that cashback offer or does it have to be the hard copy you get with your order?

Yeah same here, I only got the one email. I had to ring up to get the tracking info which was a bit odd, but they were fine with it. I'm using the VAT invoice, don't see why not.
