Ugh, another dual pcb slot card. Hate it
love or hate the design it's highly likely it'll blow your tits off!
But it'll still suck at Crysis....
Hmm. So what will you be able to do with this card that you can't with a 4870 X2? Apart from swap it for a slightly newer second-hand car?
Nehalem is 130w too.
u guys think his gtx295 will out-trump the 4870x2
the 4870X2 has 1600 cores whilst the gtx295 only has 480...
Other than gaining the top dawg crown back...er...is there any use for this at this moment in time?
Nope, not at all. In fact, i'm still not convinced by dual GPU solutions in their current form. When and if we see a dual-core GPU, with internal SLI (effectively) that doesn't require driver support to make games scale I think i'll be more convinced. Right now i've got nothing which doesn't run liquid smooth on my 280 at 1600x1200.
