    NVIDIA were out of the picture for a year while AMD released DX 10.1 and DX11 cards.
    Thne, they eventually released 1st gen Fermis which were slower than ANY AVILABLE ATi cards at the time and were power hungry as welll.

    On top of this, ATi continually release new cards almost very 2 months!
