I don't blame them for the pricing, if they're selling out they've been priced correctly. Those of us looking for better bang per buck will likely have to wait for 5800 / 5700 and 5600 non-X skews, likely 1st quarter next year once they've built up enough substandard 5800X 5600X stock to fulfil the market for the lower bins parts. Lets' hope the 5600 comes in around £220-230 or thereabouts.
how about adding a comparison of the ages for some games? 1600x v 2600x v 3600x v 5600x (and for x800x too), maybe even some VR game benchmarks or things needs for streaming?
You claim the 10600 is £40 cheaper?
How, exactly, are you going to keep it cool?
Possibly with a £40 cooler?
I am amazed how some of AMD's 'lower' models match the top of the pop from Intel on most platforms, I mean is or have Intel done a NOKIA?
I wish that reviewers would start listing seconds per turn in Civ games. I mean who cares about FSP is civ?

Well I was hoping to get a 3800x, but at that price and availability, I'll be looking at it in 6 months or so, no way am I going for a 6 core when I have a 4 core.
I might just delid this 3770k and push it as far as I can (it has a mad temp range over the cores +/-10c) and buy a 27"-32" free sync monitor instead!
Then a new system next summer......
Edit: I only game 1080p 60fps, rx 580 8gb, so a new free sync 1440p 144hz monitor, then upgrade next years seems a better idea IMHO
Hi Tarinder,
When there's a long list of chips on benchmarks would it be possible to put the reveiw chips in a different colour or font so you don;t have to scour down a list of similar looking models to find out where it sits. Sorry if this sounds pedantic but would really help.

As a drop in upgrade, I'm glad I opted for the i9 9900KF, which for a previous generation is fairly on par with the Ryzen 7 5800X in gaming at anything above 1080p. Considering it's £50 cheaper, I really do think AMD have priced the 5xxx series a touch too high if someone wants to build base system (CPU / Mobo / RAM). If they had price parity, that would be far more compelling to opt for the AMD system.
Unless of course you're creating content and need the extra performance in rendering (in which case, why are you not using the GPU for that?).
Like on page 5 at the bottom?

The 5600X doesn't quite beat the 10900K
I guess if you are running the AI benchmark you might as well measure the FPS at the same time.
