    Question W595 music playback

I'm having trouble paying albums on my new W595.

It starts off playing the first track but then about 3 or 4 seconds before the end of track (while trying to access the second track I'm guessing here) the screen flashes up "Failed" and stops playing. I can manually skip from track to track easily enough though.

I've tried making a playlist but the same thing happens. I've tried 2 different SIMs and 3 different memory cards and also tried putting the music direct into the phone memory but the same thing happens every time.

All the music is encoded as 128kbps MP3, joint stereo. The memory cards are 2GB and 8GB that work fine with other devices (card readers & PSP).

I've done a master reset AND used the Sony update to reflash the phone to no avail.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

It has something to do with the MP3. My K850i does the same thing and its always on the same songs.

    Re: W595 music playback

Well I think I have the problem beaten (still testing some tracks though).

I think it has to do with the tags. I stripped all tags from a few problem tracks and they played fine in sequence, then went back and added in the basic ones again (artist, album, year, track## and title - no album art yet) and they still played fine.
I have only ID2 v2.3 in the mp3s now and so far everything has been going smoothly.

Thanks to ferral for making me compare the different mp3s.

If I find anything different or that creates more problems, I'll update this thread.
