    New Phones Needed

    Hey Guys,
Yesterday by, ehem, accident (sure it was ^^) I 3 year and a half old yet excellent condition W810i made contact with a flat vertical surface at high space. Needless to say it didnt survive veery well, the screen is cracked and approximatley a quarter of it is blacked out in the form of a splat on the right side - so, not very usable.

Ontopic - I need a decent Pay as you Go phone, preferably Tmobile; for Under £150. I've have my eye on the Sony Ericsson C902 from Tmobile for Only £100, looks like an excellent price - I'm also looking at the more expensive £150 Nokia Express Music 5800, also from Tmobile? Are either of these good? And which is better - Take value into consideration!

Furthermore, I need a high end phone, I'm tihnking HTC - Preferably Android (never really liked windows phone, havent used the newer ones though), more at the Hero - Which can be aquired for £30 a month from Tmobile with a bunch of minutes - However, I'm not sure what I want - I want your help selecting one. No real preference on provider, however I would like price to be at a maximum of £30 with a decent phone and a LOT of credit!

    Thanks guys

    Nelsaidi

    EDIT
C902 seems to have a ridiculously small screen size of 2 inches :S

cant suggest much for the payg phone but for the monthly one, have you looked at the hd2? I know its windows but its still great (from what ive heard so far!), can be had for £25 p/m 500minutes/unlimited virgin minutes/unlimited text/unlimited internet and is 18month contract (you have to pay £80 for phone but still a solid offer). If your a VM customer u get 2 months free line rental and possibly you could get £30 quidco.

How many minutes and that are you looking for?

Atleast 500 minutes and 500 texts, and internet is more or less a must with a phone such a sa HTC.

My cousin has the HTC Touch Pro 2 (or something like that - one of their newer windows phones [i think]) - He didnt really like it at first, found it complicated and so on, but eventually got the hang of it claiming it as a "not bad phone", not good enough for a phone of that price range imo.

    Re: New Phones Needed

Well to me they are totally different phones, the touch pro has a qwerty tactile keyboard and has weaker hardware (the cpu is half the spec of the hd2!). The Virgin contract has the minutes u want and internet should be good enough cause 1gb is average limit (vodafone is 500mb).

The HD2 is a touch screen device and with its 4.3" screen its very easy to use, however it still has windows mobile as the underlying OS and even though HTC has done a great job trying to hide the UI from WM it still crops up and can be a bit hardcore for new users. You have to be willing to try WM and expect to have some problems while getting used to it.
