    HTC HD 2 and Podcasts

    Hi all,

I am considering buying an HTC HD 2 to replace my old iPhone 3G - i am going to get it on T-Mobile probably.

I have been an iPhone user for quite some time now and its the only 'smart phone' i have owned so i had a few (probably stupid) questions for you good people.

Firstly can the HTC HD 2 play Podcasts downloaded through iTunes right out of the box or does it take some messing about?

Secondly can you get any decent 'apps' for the HTC like Twitter or games etc.? And are these free like most of the iPhone apps?

Thanks all for any tups / advice / answers you can give me.

    Kind regards,

Re: HTC HD 2 and Podcasts

Twitter is already part of the software as well as facebook, so they are ready to go. The windows marketplace(equivalent of apps store) is getting better all the time.
In terms of the podcasts, I've never used itunes, but as long as the podcast is in a compatible format(like mp3 or anything like that) it will work straight away. As it has it's own media player, as well as windows media player, the phone should play anything a pc can.

I have a HD2 and would never change it. It is an awesome phone, and if you get custom roms from XDA, it gets better and better(and if you miss the look of the iphone, there is a skin you can get to make the menus etc look like an iphone(although HTC sense is better).

The other plus with the HD2 is that it is the first phone capable of running windows phone 7, so when that comes out later this year, you can upgrade to that,
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

You can install software that will automatically grab podcasts when updated, you dont need a PC to do this, it will work via a data 3g or wifi connection.
