Does it still mandate the use of iTunes, and ban developing software in non-**** languages?

And from what I've seen, it brings nothing new?

Front facing camera... done years ago
    Multitasking... done years ago

Erm... what else has it brought?

I haven't seen any coverage of the keynote, but a friend was telling me some highlights last night.

I'd second that. Recently I've been trying to explain to my friends why iPhone and Apple are bad, but they just say they're easiest to use and that's all they care about! It's killing me. Saying that, I've got an iPhone 3G at the mo, just considering which android phone to jump ship to!

Honestly, WM to me has done its job VERY well such as the following:
    1. Great file support
    2. Easy to navigate- Logical locations
    3. Registry- I can edit the device to my liking, not some generic one
    4. Reliability- Had only a handful of crashes which too me is reliable when i installed custom roms!
    5. Applications- loads of em , much more useful apps than apples/android.... FPSECE is the psx emulator so i can run tekken etc on my HD2 so thats a win there.
    6. Gaming-- As above
    7. Email- Bloody easy for me, tap a button and im done, havent used blackberry

    8. IT WORKS!- Yes, this it what i love because its simple but a very versatile OS so IMO pisses on the competition, i never had a problem finding what i needed and compatibility aint hit me.

I know people say WM is not "touch friendly" but i have to disagree, that is based on the older WM version however if you try the newer 6.5.5 (or is it .3?) WM its alot more touch based faster and is a good improvement over its previous version without loosing its advantage. Suffice to say I would happily buy a WM device again but really it would have to be accompanied by a good handset (HD2 currently woo) so i can enjoy console games and great films along with alot of work .
WM user for years - was running energy ROMs on my TD2. Then I got a desire. And then I woke up to how much better Android actually is - it's far easier to use (even without Sense [without which WM is utterly crap]) and rocket ship fast by comparison. And with froyo being much much faster still i've got a good speed boost to look forward to yet.

Things that I struggled to do with WM are piss-takingly-easy with my Android phone - it's night and day different. I quite like it (you can probably tell). Lots.

Sadly WM has had it's day - it's a dead OS now - and although the last minute bandaids to it (like easy to hit softkeys) really helped they just didn't stand up next the android (and the iPhone). MS have killed it off with good reason - and WP7 looks far more appealing. MS wouldn't junk an entire platform without good reason.

Don't construe this as an attack on you, or your phone, it's just my opinon based on owning everything from the original XDA to the TD2, and now the Desire.
