So anybody using giffgaff? My T-Mobile contract has just finished and with their new data cap I am going to jump ship. I dont use a huge amount of calls or texts a month, but do need data. Any thoughts on giffgaff or an alternative cheap payg / 30 day contract thats worth a look.

Not had any problems apart from one outage that lasted about 4 hours last November (Details are on their website if you want to see them)
Works well, the payback scheme is great.
Overall I'm glad I made the jump as it's saving me money

giffgaff here too since late last year and they are way better than O2 - cheaper calls and the online support and cashback are great. It can end up you get your mobile free or better. Unlimited texts and internet are truly unlimited which is a pleasant surprise. The £10 goodybag will be your best option (250mins voice + u/l internet/sms). Lastly, there is no contract!

I'm on a Modaco R7 one now, there is R8 but i couldn't find the download on the website and apparently it has quite a few fixes over 7 >_>

The current economic climate will see giffgaff take off imho as no one can compete with the cashback (credit, paypal or charity donation).

I use giffgaff and the oragami envelope they send the sim to you in is actually very cleverly pu together.
Guys, how does Giffgaf work - Do you have to topup and thats it or is it a Monthly topup thing or a Monthly contract thing ?
