    Mobile Contract

Right, have been told by o2 that I can cancel at anytime now as my actual contract period is over..

I've been paying £37 a month for 600 anytime any network minutes, 500 text's (doubled to 1000) and the unlimited data bundle..

Thing is I've been using waaaaay less than that, last month I used 53minutes and send 241 texts, data wise a 500mb a month would easily cover it...

    What can I get..

    Re: Mobile Contract

T-Mobile do a 30 day SIM only contract with 350 minutes to any network,300 texts and 500MB of data for £15.32:

    http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/sim-only/tariffs/

It also worth looking at giffgaff for their SIM only bundles too:

    Re: Mobile Contract

I went GiffGaff recently, and so far am enjoying the experience. £10 goodybag (plus some regular credit for calls which fall outside the included minutes), 250 minutes (OK, that drops to 150 in a month or so) unlimited texts, unlimited data (no tethering/laptop use). Can't fault it.

I am another giffgaff convert, very happy so far. Big plus point is being able to jump ship whenever I want.

giffgaff seems to be the way forward and tbh i think these days its cheaper to buy phones offline than getting stuck in a ruck on these overpriced contracts..

ive activated a sim but im waiting for my network simlock to use my iphone... what the net speed like? compared to orange/tmobile?

    Re: Mobile Contract

For me, sitting at home it runs at over twice the speed of tmob who my contract was with. I have gone the cheap option of an orange sanfrancisco and giffgaff, with custom rom the sanfran is excellent. I have also shifted my wife over to giffgaff so that we get free calls and texts to each other, she doesent use data, so with a bit of luck her mobile will be virtually free.

    Re: Mobile Contract

theres 1 thing i noticed they could improve in time (for those coming from a contract may bug ya)
is the ability to topup with you credit/debit card direct from the handset currently seems you can only enter vouchers! i guess you could log on to there webby and topup from there its just a change in culture for me...

    Re: Mobile Contract

You can set it up to auto topup once the balance hits a certain amount. Problem (although slight) for me is only one goodybag can be stacked.

    Re: Mobile Contract

Being a lazy sod I would like the option for goodybags to be automatically be added once the previous one runs out. At the moment I can buy 2, activate the first and the second will automatically start when the first ends. I would like the option for this to be fully automated.

    Re: Mobile Contract

I was toying with the idea of going for a contract to get a new phone to then sell on (Thinkints HD7 so I could have a play with WP7) but over the life of the contract the phone would have cost too much to warrrant it...
