yeah people were not joking about the build quality. nearly snapped the back cover off my new phone trying to put the battery and simcard in

still it looks good so it's a fair trade (!)

The build quality is actually incredible.

The back cover cannot be snapped, you can bend it in half. It's just a very clever design.

I thought you were joking..So the SGII is actually light and strong and isn't poorly built.

    Re: SGSII Thread

Yes, it's very high grade plastic. It's also extremely solid as you can no doubt notice.

It has been designed to be light, not cheap. That is just how Samsung do things!

If anything, I'd say the Sensation build quality is actually worse (for a number of reasons).

    Re: SGSII Thread

when i'm using the s2 and having a conversation with someone they keep saying they can't hear me when i have the phone to my ear (like you'd do with any phone) and the only way it seems for people to be able to hear what i'm saying is to put the phone on loudspeaker and have it directly in front of my mouth rather than at the side. any ideas please?

Sounds like its faulty. Maybe try a software reset (and upgrade if you're not using the latest official version), and if it is still happening, take it back to the shop/

    Re: SGSII Thread

It is a common complaint about the S2 though - I've read plenty of forum posts of people mentioning that others are struggling to hear them.

I've not had anyone complain about my voice on mine though.

    Re: SGSII Thread

god knows, i dont think i have ever heard of anyone using kies for anything other than the USB driver before.

set sgs II to mass storage, plug into comp, two drives will be found (presuming you have an external SD), search for the name of the .pdf on both of them, when its found make a note of where it is. done!
