WP7 Mango - Thoughts?

Oh I forgot to post, if your actually going to write an app which you want to publish, there are ways of getting free dev, if not, no free dev at the moment.

Seems odd to not let the home brew community get as much support as possible, when you think how much better VS2010 + resharper and Blend are than what you have for Andriod or IOS this is stupid.

Big step in the right direction, shaping up to be the best mobile OS on the market.

I use my iPhone a lot for web browsing and Mango's web browser looks a lot quicker and has a good user interface. The Metro Ui theme looks really clean as well. Microsoft has really been improving since the last Windows mobiles

Does mango give wp7 some depth. It is still relatively young OS but I am trying to gauge how functional this will be as a productive device compared to Symbian?

I'm confused as to what your asking about depth? Its adding more APIs which actually allow the devs to do things, I'm fairly sure I've ranted on here before about how restrictive the current APIs are.

Is it intuitive to use.. I'm sure it is looks nice scrolling up and down and left to right with your finger at a retail store... but can you get to what you need to do with less fiddling..

Also does the default OS shipped on phones come with an app for recording phone conversations / voice memo ? and ie9... is it better than webkit based phones for using the net ?... I've been offered a HTC Desire in Sept at knocked down price.. and I know we will be seeing Mango devices by then..

GsmArena.com has got a review on Windows Phone 7.5. On the whole, he seems to positive about it. Windows Phone could still be a dark horse yet.
