    Orange m500 - Wifi?

    Hi,

Just received my m500; very impressive bit of kit. Really like it. Syncs perfectly with Exchange Server. The screen is superb etc. etc.

    Anyway - a few questions:

Can I use an SDIO wifi card? If so, are there any out there that are no larger than a standard SDIO card? I.e. without any sort of antenna on top? Something like:
    http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=124054

Can anyone recommend an MP3/Ogg player

    Any other software recommendations?

Yes you can use one, but yes it does stick out the top.

Try BetaPlayer for all file types, video and audio

    link

You'll need Task Manager to kill background apps. you can also find a good file manager on the same site.

Yes you can use one and if you get a SPECTEC it only sticks out about 5mm!

    Picked up one of these:

Superb. Works well, VERY cheap and tiny too. Fantastic.

DaBeeeenster any chance of a pic with the card installed in the unit please? I am interested in how far the external antenna sticks out.

    Cheers

You seriously need to get SBp pocket plus, meant to post this the first time round. The bloody close buttons will drive you insane otherwise, its also nice to be ablke to have big customiseable thumb size buttons on the today screen.

The best two bits of software:

    Wisbar Advance (forget pocket plus)
PhoneAlarm (the swiss army phone app for these devices it's amazing)

    Also try:

    Mortbuttons
    Voice Command 1.5 (M$)
    Crosshair VIII Hero (WIFI), 3900x, 32GB DDR4, Many SSDs, EVGA FTW3 3090, Ethoo 719

This card seems to have disappeared from Ebuyer, which is a shame as I was ready to retire my P900 and get an M500. Has anyone got any suggestions as to a different value wifi card? The Sandisk 256mb+wifi card seems to have problems with Skype. Has anyone tried Sypke with an M500, MDA compact, Imate JAM or similar with any success?
