    k750i/w800i - sms question

gearing up for one of these when i get my upgrade in within the next month.

both the same with very small differences.

as the best phone ive ever used (had 3 of them) is the nokia 6230, i will find it hard to switch, so got to know its going to be a right move.

ive tried numerous times to switch from nokia to other phones, but have always gone back to a 6230.

one small, but quite major factor to me, is ease of use, speed and text messaging*

    * the text message must not be deleted from the screen if you click cancel instead of send! im forever doing this with my 6230, but due to the absolute quality of the phone, it keeps the message you were writing just as you left it when you hit close!

if the SE's latest range do this (my last SE didnt - T610 i think... might have been one after that) then im pretty sold.

also, does the phone RING & Vibrate at the same time, and not Ring Then Vibrate like other crappy phones ive used...

any ideaS? its just to tide me over till the n91.

The K750i is the first ever non-nokia i have liked. In fact i love it and can see myself sticking with SE's for sometime. I also went from a 6230 (well actually via a V3 but it was the worst phone i have ever used) and i am glad it did.

SE's menu system is the closest to Nokia of all the brands, in fact i much prefer it now. As for texting, it's almost identical to Nokia and you can customise it further too.

If you don't send the text for any reason (answer call, make call, even battery loss) the text message is saved in drafts.

    Yes, they ring and vibrate.

I think you will be suprised. The current generation of SE's is much better than the last and much faster.

Personally im going to bypass the N91 and wait for SE new walkman phone with a harddrive that rumoured for early xmas/early next year.

I personally much prefer the K750i. But the W800i is much better value for money and will probably sell for more when you get you n91.

Is it really better value for money?

Of all the packages I've seen so far, it seems cheaper to get the K750i and add a memory stick duo on top.

I have seen plenty of free/very cheap w800i deals. 2 of my mates got them free within about a week after they came out. A pro dou 512mb is at leasr £30. Plus the headphones you get with the K750i are rubish compared to the W800i's. Buying them on thier own costs £25. But i guess it depends on how much line rental you are willing to pay.

Thats what I mean. I've seen 7 months half price rental with W800i, but 12 months half price rental for the k750i.

The 5 months difference adds up to £75, and I don't think I would be happy with either stock earphones anyway.
