How do I switch to a bigger SD card...

I have a windows PDA phone with SD card storage, and I want to basically copy EVERYTHING on my SD card to a new, bigger one. I have installed all my various programmes to run off the SD card, it would be a huge pain to re-install everything (in fact, I've reinstalled windows on the PC since installing all the PDA apps so not even sure if this is still possible). I don't have a card reader in my PC, either.

Is there any program I can use to back up my existing card (while stuck in my phone) to my PC, and then restore from the PC to the replacement card? Any help appreciated.

Not sure if its the same, once you got Activesync going you can access the SD card through the phone, copy it to your hdd, change card and copy it back to new card.

And card reader is cheap you know

activesync might do it.....

but IMO its alot safer to just go out and fork out for a ceap USB card reader, although, internal card readers look much cooler IMO (although, they do just connect to usb headers on your mobo)

Do I not need two readers though, to copy one from the other? I wasn't sure that copying first to hard drive and then back to a different card under windows would mean that my PPC programmes would still run correctly, will try it though as nothing to lose.

I will be buying a cheapo card reader, because I've just bought the world's ugliest mp3 player and it has a flash card backup facility (eg for digital cameras). But I wasn't sure what sort of USB input it would have and so was waiting until it arrived before buying any card reader...because I would only get an external one if I was sure I could use it to backup SD cards to mp3 player while on hols, otherwise I agree internal ones look much better and I would have got one of those...the mp3 player came with the necessary adaptors (mini-USB to/from big USB, male/female) so now I know to get an external reader

Nope just copy everything off the card to a folder and then back again to the new card...

Just make sure you can see hidden files!
